Sanctum

If a sinner’s mind is a sanctum, then is it a sanctuary of hatred? Does it spit like Venom? Is it for all to hear, or for yourself? I will never understand my meanings nor should they be read into, for if there was ever any truth into anything it’s based on a sarcastic level…usually.

If the crow no longer sings to me, then why do I have the melody stuck in my head, playing over and over again?

Perhaps I was addicted to the dark side. (2pac) the constant stagnant water is unsafe to drink but it begins to swallow you up immediately. Called into the office to hear how I am slipping, how I am a great guy when I am happy, but those days are few and far apart. I ask myself will I ever change, but no, I know I will probably always be the same.

There is bliss in being the same. Expectations warrant no explanation. Some spicy chicken sandwiches will always be better than the worst ones (McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A) I have no problem arguing who won the chicken war (Popeyes, Burger King) when the local town hero makes the fast food ones look like trash.

Did my rant on spicy chicken make any sense? It does in my brain. You know my brain is obsessed with movies, Tetris, and whiskey. Do you want to know a secret? I don’t drink nearly as much as I used to. (2016 was a bitch) I actually hardly drink, I mean I do on days off and when I am writing meaningless blog posts. I’d rather sleep most of the time since those good nights are rare. I learned to write stories sober, though not as compelling but not as many mistakes.

Are you still with me? Or are you unread pages from every book I have written, or the short stories that are followed by rejection letters? Whatever I wouldn’t read me either.

I’m glad we live in an era where horror movies are the best thing that comes out of Hollywood. Seriously they are really creative and nothing we haven’t seen. It’s like all the kids that grew up loving John Carpenter are taking what he established and making something original. Do you want to know another secret? I don’t only watch horror. I think that is a misconception of mine. I support it over other genres….and Carpenter is my favorite director. I watch literally anything, of any genre. I could name my favorite movies from all genres. I’m not that loser that sits around and doesn’t give new shit or a sequel a chance. Currently, I am trying to watch every movie Tom Cruise has ever done. Why? Honestly, he picks good and fun movies to do (That includes Cocktail) maybe he worships aliens or whatever that cult believes, but his movies are good and people can support whatever religion they want. My only belief is if God is real he is probably crazy.

I have finally found a diet where I can battle gout and not get a flare up, while eating anything I want with strict portion control. It was rough the first week, and I am always hungry but it balances me out and I feel really good.
